Leo Snetsinger is a seasoned Senior Platform and DevOps Engineer with over a decade of experience designing and automating modern infrastructure for software and machine learning platforms. He specializes in Kubernetes-based architectures, GitOps workflows, scalable CI/CD systems, and end-to-end observability. Leo has led major cloud migrations, including a full transition from AWS ECS to EKS, and later expanded into multi-cloud environments using GKE.
Leo is also the founder of Homeland Shrimp, an innovative indoor shrimp farming business based in Minnesota. Drawing from his background in systems engineering, he designed a self-heating, closed-loop aquaculture system using titanium heat exchangers, nanobubble oxygenation, and optimized circulation loops—all thermodynamically balanced for animal health and energy efficiency.
Raised in Grand Rapids, MN, Leo became independent at 16 and built his career through self-teaching, hands-on experience, and relentless problem-solving. He earned a Master’s in Information Systems Management and is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta honor society. His mindset is shaped by a deep belief in personal growth, learning by doing, and turning failure into forward momentum.
In addition to his technical and entrepreneurial pursuits, Leo is active in his local community. He volunteers with Senior Community Services’ HOME program, helping seniors with seasonal yard care so they can remain in their homes safely and independently.
Whether scaling a cloud platform, debugging ML pipelines, or building a shrimp tank from scratch, Leo brings precision, curiosity, and long-term thinking to everything he does. His work bridges digital and physical systems—and reflects a rare blend of low-level mastery and big-picture vision.
